Harry T. Whelan, M.D.: Pediatric Neurologist, NASA  Researcher



Dr. Whelan is a professor of Neurologist and Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin and is director of the hyperbaric medicine unit. He has been inducted into the NASA Space Technology Hall of Fame for his research into the use of near-infrared LEDs therapies to treat diabetic eye disease, traumatic brain injury and strokes. Dr. Whelan has had projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the FDA has recently approved Dr. Whelan¹s latest clinical trial for the use of brain tumors.
